Today we are pleased to introduce you to a legendary figure in the music and entertainment space. Born in Chicago now residing in Louisville, KY our next guest is an acclaimed Cariblujazz, artist who’s career spans almost three decades. For those who may be unfamiliar with the genre of music, it is a beautiful fusion of Caribbean music, Blues and Jazz. He wears many hats in the entertainment space as he is not only an artist but he is singer/song writer, a guitarist, a ghost writer and composer. He has released four studio albums to date, “Some Blues For You” in 2005, “Here Comes Big Poppa Stampley” in 2007, “Universal Blues Man” in 2014 and most recently “Juke Box Blues” in 2019. With an abundance of accomplishments throughout his illustrious career such as winning the 2016 & 2018 Kentuckiana Blues Challenge, nominations for Blues Artist of the year in 2014 and 2017 by the Louisville Music Awards Academy. Winner of the 2014 Sylvester Weaver Award as well as the Fred Hampton Image award in 2004 just to name a few. With over 2000 performance hours logged sharing the stage with some of musics greatest talents such as Maya Angelou, Roy Ayers, The Delphonics, and Montel Jordan just to name a small few he has cemented his legacy. An educator and instructor through his educational literacy and cultural enterprise, Music History in Motion, he teaches student workshops across the country.
